Advertising/Marketing Communications (SBI - Center for Economic Development)
I participated in the UMD Center for Economic Development's Student to Business Initiative. This program assigned my team to a small business client that requested consulting in the integrated marketing communications aspect of their business. We created an extensive overview of recommendations for our designated company, as well as a budget and implementation schedule. This project took a semester to complete, and gave me real, out of the classroom experience working 1-on-1 with a business to improve their integrated marketing communication strategies.
NSAC (National Student Advertising Competition) Officer

This year, Mary Kay, Inc. is our selected client and I am currently an active member of the research team. Our job is to conduct a complete situational analysis through extensive research to then devise an integrated communications campaign for Mary Kay, Inc. to present in the AAF National Student Advertising Competition, April 2014. Executives are looking to us to create greater awareness of their products, enhance the brand image and perception, and recruit more independent beauty consultants.

In my Social Media Marketing course this semester, I created and designed a 30-page personal brand proposal integrating 5 leading social networks with a detailed analysis, content strategy, and implementation schedule with measurement plan. Through this project, I was able to not only capitalize on my 5+ social networking sites, but I also learned many social capabilities that will allow me to continually expand my social presence and overall social experience. These social savvy skills I have make me an invaluable resource to your organization.
